A Juicy Couture box is a better bed than many people have ... believe it.
Thought:
My house needs some work. I had a new roof put on a few weeks ago, but I need to hang new drywall in the garage, update my baths, install a new front door, and paint a few rooms. Oh, yes ... there are a few cracks in the ceiling. Oh, woe is me.
Counter thought:
There are two counter thoughts here:
1. My home is mine, not the bank's. It's paid in full and not subject to foreclosure. I am immensely blessed.
2. I have a roof over my head. The majority of the world's people should be so lucky. Those of you reading this post from your nice computers in your comfy digs can't comprehend this fact ... neither can I.
Thought:
My hair wasn't cooperating the other day, due to severely split ends. I got a trim, and all is well now. I still wish I had pin straight hair.
Counter Thought:
At least I have hair. Some women experience balding and thinning hair, due to hormonal changes. Others lose their hair following cancer treatments. Thank you, God, for my hair.

It’s amazing when we look over our shoulder so to speak and stop to realize how good we actually have it. I just came home from an education session for a large group of 4th and 5th grade students at the museum. Let’s just say that the little people were less than cooperative today! While cleaning up after the program I commented to the other docent that it’s really good to have a bad group now and then because it makes you appreciate the good ones all the more!!
Yup. I get the picture. Give thanks. Count your many blessings. Look what God has done.
Thanks for the reminder.
Counting one's blessings is a good thing.
I need to do that given the havoc in my life of late.
It's so to forget just how nice we have it.
Hi,
Your posting is very interesting... I really enjoyed reading this post. Keep writing..
I'm still pouting over my hair, though I put it in perspective when it happened, I am still not happy that it has been damaged so badly. I really like healthy looking hair. But I do count my blessings and know that I have a life that most cannot even imagine getting to live. And trust me, I am very thankful.
